Ellis Jones is well placed to steer RADA’s new policy of
making the Academy’s expertise more widely available, having
been Head of Acting for 10 years (1993-2003) and Vice Principal
for 5 years from 1998.
An acting career over some 30 years ranged from Shakespeare to
television sitcom, plus many productions as a director in London
and the regions, most recently final-year productions at RADA, including
Journey’s End, Hobson’s Choice, Daisy Pulls it Off
and A Chorus of Disapproval.
Ellis produces and directs the RADA projects on board the QM2 for
the Cunard Shipping Line, is lead consultant for a number of RADA
Enterprises collaborations in the field of educational drama, and
directs one-off performance projects for corporate clients, such
as a recent showcase for Buro 4 Project Management at BAFTA.
He is the author of Teach Yourself Acting published in
1998 by Hodder & Stoughton.
