St. Mary's School, Calne

Led by a director from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, a Young Actors’ Shakespeare Summer School will be held at St Mary’s School, Calne in Wiltshire from 24th – 29th July.

Based on exploring Shakespeare from an actor’s point of view, this six-day residential course will mix rehearsing scenes and speeches with intensive classes in essential skills for which RADA’s training is famous. Students will be able to find out more about the RADA 16+ Shakespeare Certificate scheme.

The course is aimed at young actors, aged between 16 and 18, who are discovering a serious interest in drama. The course will be invaluable for those considering going on to full-time drama training, as well as those who simply want to include drama in their creative portfolio, as it will provide a terrific opportunity to work in depth with expert professionals. Included in the programme for the week will be a tour of RADA, a London theatre performance and a visiting speaker from the theatre profession.
