FORUM THEATRE

Forum Theatre is an innovative and creative training style where a facilitator and actors work directly with your staff to change negative behaviour patterns and solve complex workplace challenges – from bullying and absenteeism to improving customer service.

Forum Theatre is interactive, informative, exciting, and tailored to your particular needs. The forum theatre process provides effective training for as few as ten or as many as a hundred people. The event can also be complimented with additional workshops on the day, to consolidate the learning.

Forum Theatre Preparation

  • We work with you to understand the particular issues you want to address.
  • We create a scenario, or story, that best depicts the issues you have raised.
  • We require about one month to research and prepare for the event.
  • This training incurs additional costs such as development, writing and rehearsing.

Forum Theatre Delivery

  • The actors perform the bespoke forum theatre piece.
  • The facilitator and your staff discuss the themes that arise and brainstorm how best to make improvements.
  • Then the actors re-perform the story, but this time our tutor facilitates as your staff interject to suggest how the actors could change their behaviour for the better.
  • Your staff influence the direction of the forum theatre and the issues portrayed, creating solutions, shaping their own learning, and taking ownership of the outcome.
  • They discuss and debate issues in a controlled environment and see the results of their suggestions immediately.
