PROGRAMMES FOR SCHOOLS, COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIESRADA, a specialist drama school offering acting and technical training, has set a benchmark in educational excellence. RADA also delivers training to institutions across the educational sector. RADA Enterprises offers the following skills training and consultancy: Bespoke Drama Consultancy If your school or college is considering developing or expanding its teaching of drama, our consultants, including senior tutors and staff from the Academy, can advise and facilitate an ongoing training programme. The successful one-year Drama Foundation Course at Cambridge School of Visual and Performing Arts (CSVPA) is one such course designed and delivered in conjunction with RADA through RADA Enterprises’ consultancy service.
Technical Consultancy and Training RADA’s technical training has a world-wide reputation, with many of its graduates holding senior positions in major international production companies and venues. Through RADA Enterprises, the Academy now offers a variety of technical consultancies which range from short courses, designed to show teachers lighting and sound methods for school productions, to providing advice on the design or development of theatre facilities.
Teaching with Vocal Power and Presence This training will enable those who teach and lecture to develop their physical presence and build and maintain their vocal power. Practical, technique-based sessions will equip teachers to use their voice with increased authority and show how to care for and strengthen the voice over the longer term.
Personal Impact for School Students Aimed at those studying at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, RADA Enterprises offers workshops to enable school students to develop their personal presentation skills. Over a series of training sessions, students work on voice, physicality and presence to gain key skills to communicate more effectively whether it be in further education or the workplace. Training also includes: making an entrance; creating a good first impression; interview techniques and effective public speaking and presentations.
Enhancing Academic Presentations This course focuses on enhancing the communication and presentation skills of postgraduate students and lecturers. The training addresses personal impact; techniques for presenting; the structuring of ideas and style of delivery. The sessions also explore the use of tools that aid presentation such as PowerPoint and how to create the perfect balance between the presenter and their visual material. This course has been successfully run for postgraduate students at Birkbeck College and for students within the London Deanery.
