ARE THERE MORE OF YOU?

Four tales of the unexpected, four women living extraordinary lives in ordinary places.

About the Play

Joyce Grenfell meets Sarah Bernhardt as Alison Skilbeck plays four utterly different women on the verge of a nervous breakthrough, linked only by a postcode, whose lives rub shoulders.

CLAIRE, bright, abandoned Ambassador’s wife, with blood on her hands; Italian SOPHIA, serving egg ‘n’ chips by day and osso bucco and Verdi by night, while upstairs Mamma seems set to last for ever; SARA, the local Spirit Weaver, all sweetness and light, unless you tangle with her; and SAM, bluff northern business woman, who’s always got on with men, but seems to be going home alone.

By turns hilarious and heart-breaking, ARE THERE MORE OF YOU? shows ‘women of a certain age’ plumbing the depths, and yearning for the stars.
