Christopher Heimann

Christopher teaches improvisation at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London where he is also a member of the audition panel. He also works as a performance coach and consultant, and his corporate training draws on his background as a theatre director, playwright and acting coach. He uses a variety of different approaches designed to make the training interactive, challenging, fun and tailored to the individuals’ specific needs and strengths.

Christopher has designed and run communication and leadership training for the Royal Mail, and teambuilding and change management events for Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs. Other work includes innovation and creativity training for Orange plc. Christopher has also run communication training for psychotherapists at the Tavistock Centre in London, and storytelling projects including Forum Theatre with homeless people for the Big Issue Foundation.

Current projects include an ongoing weeklong communication and presentation skills course with senior management at BASF in Germany, the world’s largest chemical company. Other recent work includes teambuilding workshops for Ealing Council, influencing training for the Audit Commission, personal impact training for St. Mary’s School, Calne and communication training for Promise, a London-based branding consultancy.

Christopher’s work as a theatre director and writer includes the stage plays “100” and “Food” both of which won the prestigious Fringe First award at the Edinburgh Festival and toured extensively nationally and internationally. He has directed productions at leading British theatres including the Young Vic Theatre in London and the Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh. Christopher speaks English and German at native level, as well as fluent Italian and intermediate French and Portuguese. His Polish shows goodwill.
