Performance Breath: An Essential Exploration of Body, Voice & Word

This short clip is of Jane introducing the Performance Breath conference, an event that took place at RADA on the 4th and 5th of January 2007.

This significant conference enabled participants to deepen their understanding of breath in performance under the guidance and influence of the leading respiratory specialists and performance practitioners working in the UK and US. The inter-disciplinary nature of the presentations and workshops allowed educators, practitioners, and performers to reflect upon a range of different perspectives, in order to enrich and further develop their own practice with renewed insight and direction. The conference also fostered timely discussion and debate about the way in which the study of breath is situated in various practical methodologies on both sides of the Atlantic.
